NEDA Navigators

Vision: Are you new to an eating disorder diagnosis for yourself or a loved one? NEDA Navigators are here to support you! If you have experience dealing with an eating disorder and are well into your own or your loved one's recovery, you can be a NEDA Navigator!

Area served: By state across the United States

Population served: Families and individuals going through the eating disorders recovery process

Mentoring type: Email, phone support

Cost: All Navigator services are free, donations to NEDA are warmly welcomed

Services Offered: Navigators are volunteers that have experience navigating the complex and overwhelming systems and emotions involved with the diagnosis and process of seeking help for an eating disorder. Volunteers are trained by an eating disorders professional and NEDA staff to be a knowledgeable, informal source of support and guidance to those who are new to the illness. Navigators are not treatment professionals and do not provide mental health services

How to Contact a Navigator: Call the NEDA Helpline at 1-800-931-2237 for immediate assistance. Navigators' emails are also posted by state on the Navigator website below
